Terms of Service

kitgrease is a tool for converting supplier product files (CSV or Excel) into a CSV formatted for Shopify's product import. File parsing, column mapping, and CSV generation happen entirely in the user's browser — uploaded files are not transmitted to or stored on kitgrease's servers.

kitgrease is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a product of Shopify Inc. "Shopify" refers to the e-commerce platform whose import format kitgrease's output is designed to match.

A kitgrease account is required to convert a file. Accounts are created and accessed via a one-time email link (a "magic link") — no password is set or stored.

Account holders are responsible for maintaining control of the email address associated with their account, since that email address is the sole means of signing in.

The free plan includes 3 conversions every 30 days from account creation, at no cost and with no card required. Paid plans, described below, remove or raise that limit.

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. kitgrease does not receive or store full payment card numbers; Stripe handles and stores that information directly.

Subscriptions (Unlimited and Agency) can be cancelled at any time from the billing portal linked in the dashboard. Access continues through the end of the billing period already paid for; the account then reverts to the free plan and its monthly conversion limit.

A one-time pay-per-file purchase is not a subscription and has nothing to cancel — the credit it grants simply remains on the account until used.

All charges — one-time purchases and subscription payments already processed — are final. No refunds are issued for unused conversions, partial billing periods, or subscriptions cancelled mid-cycle.

Supplier file contents are processed locally in the browser and are never uploaded to kitgrease's servers. When a mapping is saved, only the column-mapping configuration itself is stored — never the file's row data.

Account data (email address, plan, conversion usage, and saved mappings) is stored with Supabase. Payment data is stored and processed by Stripe. See the Privacy Policy for details.

kitgrease is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that conversions will be error-free.

Converted files should be reviewed before being imported into a live store. kitgrease is not liable for errors, omissions, or data loss arising from a converted file's use.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, kitgrease's total liability for any claim arising from these terms or use of the service is limited to the amount paid to kitgrease in the 12 months preceding the claim, and kitgrease is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

These terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of kitgrease after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
